Join a micro metal manufacturer as Director of Manufacturing in Morrisville, North Carolina on a full time basis.
You will lead the manufacturing operations with excellence in all key metrics to achieve its mission of disrupting medical device micro-manufacturing for ultra-resolution small metal parts.
Objectives include growing capacity and leading manufacturing with the highest safety, quality, and efficiency standards to meet business objectives.

ABOUT YOU AND THE SKILLS YOU NEED
- You have experience running complex manufacturing operations at scale and are ready and able to get hands-on when needed.
- You are a strategic thinker who can anticipate and quantify future needs, creating meticulous plans to stay ahead of the curve in a company with a very high growth rate.
- You have a strong technical background and experience establishing, optimizing, and sustaining multi-step, high-precision batch manufacturing processes, especially involving chemistry-based processes. You have a high level of understanding of engineering principles and best practice methods.
- You had progressively broadening manufacturing project management and leadership experience with a strong track record of success in Lean, 6 sigma, and continuous improvement methods.
- You have high standards for safety and quality and help instill those in others.
- You confidently maintain excellent rapport with R&D and engineering while ensuring that manufacturing processes stay in control and changes are properly validated and approved.
- You have exceptional communication and presentation skills. You communicate successes AND challenges openly. You have the ability to work effectively within a high-caliber team and influence others.
- 8-10 years of progressively broadening manufacturing management and leadership experience such as in Pharma, medical devices, Metal Injection Molding (MIM) or other process-intensive manufacturing.
DAY-TO-DAY OF THE ROLE
- Provide strong leadership and be responsible for achieving all applicable KPI’s across manufacturing operations. Maintain strong proactive relationships with R&D and Engineering, collaborating on new process development and qualification.
- Manage a team of technicians and operators to produce product to customer specifications, and to maintain and operate all manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Analyze and improve the robustness of internal operations to provide the greatest Assurance of Supply possible to our customers.
- Collaborate and communicate with sales personnel to ensure optimal outcomes for customers.
- Manage supply chain, facilities and related activities in support of manufacturing.
- Analyze and improve manufacturing operations to optimize for safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
