This is a highly technical, customer-facing role focused on advanced machining solutions including 4 and 5 axis systems and laser-integrated platforms. You’ll play a key role across pre-sales, demonstrations, customer training, and post-sale project delivery.

The Role

This is a hands-on applications position supporting both sales and customers across complex machining environments.

You’ll be involved across the full lifecycle — from technical sales support and machine demonstrations through to turnkey project delivery and process optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to sales teams, distributors, and customers
  • Support pre-sale and post-sale engineering activities
  • Deliver machine demonstrations and test cuts for customers and events

  • Support installation, run-offs, and performance optimisation
  • Deliver customer training on advanced machining systems
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and application bulletins
  • Support showroom operations and machine readiness
  • Travel to customer sites and technical centres as required (Up to 40%)

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in CNC machining and manufacturing environments
  • Experience with 4 and 5 axis machining and/or laser integration
  • Familiarity with modern CNC controls (Okuma preferred)
  • Knowledge of cutting tools and workholding systems
  • Experience with CAD/CAM and simulation software (e.g. Vericut)
  • Exposure to industries such as aerospace, energy, medical, or heavy industry
  • Comfortable in a customer-facing, applications-focused role
  • Strong communication and technical reporting skills

Why Apply

  • Work with advanced, high-spec machining technologies
  • Broad exposure across multiple industries and applications
  • Highly technical, varied role with real customer impact
  • Strong career progression within a global organisation
  • Travel and customer interaction built into the role
