We are recruiting for a Calibration Technician to join a specialist engineering organisation supporting precision inspection, calibration, and metrology systems.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with experience in calibration, metrology, equipment maintenance, or field service who enjoys troubleshooting technical systems and working directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of precision inspection and metrology equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hardware, and software-related issues
  • Develop and follow calibration procedures and inspection routines
  • Complete calibration records and documentation accurately
  • Support installation, testing, and validation of equipment
  • Communicate technical updates and process improvements internally
  • Provide professional customer support and technical assistance
  • Recommend improvements to calibration procedures and workflows
  • Travel to customer sites as required

Requirements

  • Experience within calibration, metrology, maintenance, field service, or a related technical environment
  • Basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read technical schematics and documentation
  • Understanding of precision measurement equipment and inspection systems
  • Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical principles
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred

  • Associate degree, technical qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience supporting customer-facing technical service activities
  • Knowledge of industrial measurement or inspection equipment
