Field Service Engineer – Injection Molding
📍 Chicago / Milwaukee Region
💰 $44–$47/hour + Overtime

We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing technical service team supporting industrial and injection molding equipment across the Chicago and Milwaukee region.

This role combines hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and customer support. It is ideally suited to someone with a strong mechanical or electrical background who enjoys working independently while delivering exceptional service to manufacturing customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and service industrial machinery at customer sites
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system faults
  • Provide technical support both remotely and on-site
  • Deliver operator training and technical guidance to customers
  • Complete detailed service reports and maintenance documentation
  • Support preventative maintenance and equipment optimisation activities
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and service teams to improve customer support and service delivery
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional technical support

Requirements

  • Mechanical or electrical engineering background
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience within manufacturing, industrial machinery, or related environments
  • Injection molding equipment experience preferred
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and industrial controls
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
  • Willingness to travel extensively (80%+)
