Applications Engineer CNC Programming

We are partnering with a leading CNC machine tool manufacturer to recruit an Applications Engineer based in Long Island, New York.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on CNC specialist to join a growing organisation, supporting customers with programming, process development, and machine optimisation.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring customers achieve maximum performance from their equipment, working across installations, training, and ongoing technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC machines (Swiss-type lathes)
• Run customer parts for prove-out and testing
• Develop machining processes and tooling strategies
• Deliver customer training and support
• Assist with machine installation and setup
• Provide remote and on-site technical support
• Support internal sales and distributor teams
• Conduct product demonstrations

Requirements

• CNC machining or applications engineering experience
• Strong CNC programming skills
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Customer-facing experience preferred
• Willingness to travel
