We are supporting a specialist calibration, inspection and repair business that is looking to hire a Field Calibration Technician in Ohio.

This is a strong opportunity for a mechanically astute calibration professional who enjoys varied field-based work and is comfortable travelling across the United States. The role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a positive customer-facing approach and the ability to manage their own workload effectively.

The Role

The Field Calibration Technician will be responsible for performing calibration and basic repair work on precision test equipment, with a focus on mechanical dimensional measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration on a variety of precision test equipment
• Carry out basic repairs where required
• Work with mechanical dimensional measuring instruments
• Travel to customer sites across the United States
• Maintain high levels of accuracy and professionalism
• Manage time effectively across multiple jobs and customer requirements

Skills & Experience Required

Candidates should have experience with some of the following:

• Pressure calibration
• Torque calibration
• Thermodynamics
• Weight and force calibration
• Dimensional measurement
• ULMs
• Micrometres
• Callipers
• Gage blocks
• Distance and height gages
• Optical comparators
• CMMs
• Electrical or electronic calibration

Additional Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of calibration experience
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 would be beneficial
• Experience with gauge management software would be advantageous
• Willingness to travel 25–40% across the United States
