Area Sales Manager – CNC Machine Tools

💰 $250,000–$300,000 On-Target Earnings (Base Salary + Uncapped Commission)

An industry-leading manufacturer of advanced CNC machine tools is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to develop business across the Michigan territory.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a consultative sales professional with experience selling capital equipment into manufacturing, aerospace, automotive or precision engineering customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business while growing existing customer relationships
• Sell advanced CNC machining solutions and capital equipment
• Visit manufacturing facilities throughout your territory
• Work closely with Applications Engineers to deliver technical solutions
• Prepare quotations and commercial proposals
• Develop strategic sales plans to achieve annual targets
• Provide exceptional customer support throughout the sales process
• Maintain accurate CRM and sales reports

Requirements

• 3+ years of B2B technical sales experience
• Experience selling capital equipment, machine tools or industrial manufacturing solutions
• Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the territory (up to 80%)
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
