CNC Programmer

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join their manufacturing team in Monroe, NC.

This role is ideal for an experienced machining professional who can develop and optimise CNC programs while working closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to improve productivity, quality and machining performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise CNC programs for turning and milling operations
• Utilise G-code and CAM software to improve machining performance
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T
• Create tooling, fixture designs and machining documentation
• Support machine setup and production processes
• Conduct time studies and develop machining standards
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
• Identify opportunities to improve cycle times, throughput and tooling performance
• Maintain process documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives

Candidate Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate’s Degree in Programming preferred
• Minimum five years’ CNC programming experience
• Strong CAD experience
• CAM software experience preferred
• Experience programming turning and milling machines
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
