We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Manager to join a rapidly growing aerospace and defense manufacturer producing complex precision components through CNC machining and metal additive manufacturing processes.

This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for overseeing production, quality, and operational performance across a modern manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team while driving throughput, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across CNC machining, additive manufacturing, and quality departments
  • Execute production plans and ensure delivery against operational targets
  • Manage labour allocation, machine utilisation, workflow, and production schedules
  • Lead production meetings and performance reviews
  • Develop and mentor manufacturing leaders and production teams
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, quality, and efficiency
  • Monitor KPIs including utilisation, First Pass Yield (FPY), scrap, and schedule adherence
  • Support compliance with aerospace quality standards and operational procedures
  • Work closely with planning, engineering, and quality teams to ensure successful programme execution
  • Champion a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience within aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or precision machining environments
  • Experience managing large production teams across multiple departments
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, and quality systems
  • Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing performance reporting
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience
  • AS9100 environment experience
  • CNC machining and/or metal additive manufacturing knowledge
  • Experience using ERP and business intelligence platforms
