A confidential organisation in Bolton is hiring a Systems & Data Manager to take ownership of core business systems, data quality, reporting, and process improvement.
The Systems and Data Manager role sits at the heart of operations, supporting stakeholders with reliable insights, streamlined workflows, and well-managed platforms.
DAY-TO-DAY OF THE ROLE
- Own and improve core business systems (configuration, access, uptime, usability)
- Act as the bridge between users and systems: requirements gathering, training, support, adoption
- Drive data integrity: standards, governance, quality checks, and process compliance
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards and operational KPIs
- Deliver continuous improvement projects across systems and workflows
- Manage integrations, exports/imports, and automation where appropriate
- Produce regular performance reporting for leadership and key stakeholders
- Support GDPR/data handling best practice and internal controls
- Liaise with vendors/IT partners and coordinate fixes, upgrades, and change requests
SKILLS YOU NEED
- Proven experience managing business systems and operational data in a multi-user environment
- Strong reporting capability (KPIs, dashboards, stakeholder reporting)
- Strong working knowledge of data quality, governance, and process control
- Confident managing change: training, documentation, user adoption
- Solid stakeholder management (able to translate business needs into system solutions)
- Strong attention to detail + problem-solving mindset
BONUS SKILLS
- Experience with CRM/ERP/MIS platforms (any sector)
- Experience with Power BI (or similar), SQL, or advanced Excel reporting
- Experience implementing new systems, migrations, or integrations
- Process mapping / continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, SOPs)
